A história
Elena flies to Istanbul for a week alone, chasing a self she'd lost in a city that straddles two continents. Her guide is Ahmet, an Istanbul-born storyteller who shows strangers the soul of his city with easy charm and a heart he keeps half-shut — the ones he lets matter always board the plane home. From the Grand Bazaar's lantern light and amber glasses of tea to the dome of Hagia Sophia and a ferry tilting gold across the Bosphorus, the distance between them shrinks, and so does the time. She came to feel alive again; he taught himself not to want the ones who leave. With the flight booked and an ocean beyond, how much can two people give something meant to last only seven days?

Elena
Adventurous American Traveler
Elena is a young American woman who booked a solo week in Istanbul to escape a life that had stopped surprising her, telling no one why she left. Curious and introspective, she finds the city—and her guide—reawakening a version of herself she'd lost, even as she guards a heart that's been bruised before.

Ahmet
Charismatic Istanbul Tour Guide
Ahmet is an Istanbul-born tour guide who shows travelers the city he loves with effortless charm and a storyteller's pride. Beneath the easy patter he carries a quiet ache—he's shown a hundred strangers a city he's barely left, and the people he lets matter always board the plane home—so he's taught himself to guard his heart against the ones who leave.
